On 16-18 April, 37 engaged attendees from the ELEXIA Project gathered in Krakow to deliberate on developing validated tools for planning and managing energy systems, integrated across sectors. The meeting was also honoured by the presence of Małgorzata Kozak | Energy Regulatory Office, Maciej Żyrkowski | Heat and Power Plant PGE Energia Ciepła S.A., Sławomir Kopeć | AGH University, Dariusz Wojakowski | AGH University, and Wojciech Wróbel | The Thermal Waste Treatment Plant.
The key role of AMC TECH within the project is the preparation of the replication plan for the Polish market. The plan should take into account all the specificities of a particular market. In the Polish case, it is – on the one hand – a large dependence on fossil fuels, but on the other hand – growing investments in energy system transformation. For a successful replication plan, exchanging experience between the ELEXIA team and representatives of various Polish stakeholders is necessary. Therefore, there was a special session during the meeting, with the participation of local authorities, business and academia.
We want to thank all the participants for their involvement, insightful exchange of ideas, and positive <despite the challenging weather!> atmosphere throughout the meeting. We are also grateful to our special guests for dedicating their time to join us for presentations and discussions.
See you in 6 months in Greece for the next ELEXIA Consortium Meeting!
